Whats wrong with my HD PVR?

I just set up my HD PVR from Hauppauge to record my Xbox 360 gameplay and the quality is amazing, but when I'm done recording and I go to see the recorded footage it zooms in on one point and everything on the side is lost. Even when I expand the box its still zoomed in. Do I need to adjust something or did I do something else wrong? Thanks for your help.
