Do you ever go to the news instead of watching it in your living room?

I have never gone to it but when I was in the 3rd grade, I was living in a 3rd story apartment with my Mom. We lived in a relatively nice neighborhood...not a rich community but not even close bad. There was a police chase one day and the guy drove the car he stole up onto the lawn, right outside of my apartment building. He and his male passenger took off running, with the cops behind them. I don't remember anything else about it but news crews were following them.
