What are you supposed to do after you wish on 1000 paper cranes?

I was planning on making sort of mobiles for my future children when they are born. I wanted to make 1000 paper cranes and wish for them to have great lives. The only thing is I'm not quite sure what to do after I make them. Do I keep them around?
